Jewel Tones. I can't remember the first time I heard this descriptor, but clearly I did NOT have enough shiny baubles in my life. And I wasn't yet an acolyte of Chanel, Verdure, Temple St. Clair or the amazing young New York jeweler, Briony Raymond. As a child, I remember being drawn to shiny birthstones and all sorts of colored gems. When I grew up, I got practical and serious (ugh!!!) and mainly stuck to gold and channel set diamonds. But I feel myself being drawn back to multi-colored gemstone pieces...such as the saturated hues in this week's prompt from S. J. Axelby, the host of @roomportrait club. I fell in love with this rich, jewel-toned interior by@aude.jolijour. If I MUST go inside in winter, please let me bask in jewel tones!
