I have painted this salon of English interior designer Carlos Garcia many times...but today I left some elements out and invented others. I think I am drawn to it because the room is always the same...and yet...changes come to it via seasons and shifting light and the introduction of seasonal plant material. It is a cozy still-point in a world that is always changing, and yet it breathes.
