Why do I love Roger Banks Pye besides his quirky use of materials...probably because I am very attracted to his pattern on patternon pattern., the fact that he is NOT a minimalist, and his steadfast belief that everything CAN work together. Yes I know that he probably ruthlessly curated and was thoughtful, but I can't help thinking that he was perhaps saying something about life and people...let's all be together...a glorious jumble of lively humanity...nothing, and no one, not belonging. That's why I mentioned Mally Skok, Rose Cumming, and Donatella: three designers who are all about inclusion and having all the disparate elements get along!
